Pedigree
Kodi was my first Swissy. He was a sweet, loving boy. He adored his daddy,
loved
walks and rides in the car. He had a very even temperament and loved everyone he
met. Our breeder asked us to use "country" as a naming theme but we could not
agree on or find a name that suited him or us. We decided on Bluegrass Dakota
Moon
with a call name of "Kodi".
Kodi earned three of his Working Weight Dog legs at club pulls and his final,
title leg at the 2003 National Specialty in Lexington, Kentucky. He also earned
his
Canine Good Citizen at the National. All of this was accomplished after he was
diagnosed with epilepsy.
Kodi was a big boy. He measured 30" at the shoulder and weighed in at 140
pounds.
His brother, Bear, is even bigger! Every time we think of Kodi, it brings tears
to our eyes.
He is truly missed.
Amanda, with assistance from her Grandma, painted a picture of Kodi. I made
reprints
of this wonderful remembrance and donated them to the auction at a National
Specialty.
